Campbellsville Fire & Rescue serves the community in many other ways than just firefighting. We are involved throughout the community educating our residence about the importance of fire prevention and fire safety. Through the fire prevention program personnel speak at schools, business, industries, groups, clubs and civic organizations concerning fire safety topics such as smoke alarms, escape planning, fire extinguisher training, carbon monoxide, fire sprinklers. In addition, we encourage people to stop by our station or call and schedule a large group for a tour.
Our department is self-sustained in the event of a power outage with a 60 KW generator to allow for continued operation. We are certified as an emergency shelter area in the event of a disaster.
Campbellsville Fire & Rescue is associated with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and has certified Fire Inspectors that conduct inspections on an annual basis of businesses, industries, restaurants, and multi-family dwellings for the purpose of maintaining code compliance.
It is our goal to serve and protect the citizens of Campbellsville and Taylor County, to promote and educate the public in fire prevention and safety and to continue to move into the future by improving our department to meet the changing needs of our community.
