City Attorney – John Miller
John C. Miller is a native of Campbellsville, Kentucky. He graduated from Taylor County High School in 1985. He attended the University of Kentucky and received a Bachelors in Business Administration in 1989. He also attended law school at the University of Kentucky where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1992. John worked for Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs until he returned home in 1995. He initially practiced with his father, James C. Miller, and his wife, Shelly S. Miller, in the firm of Miller, Miller & Miller, PLC and since 2007, he has practiced with the firm of Bertram, Cox & Miller, LLP.
John has served on the board of directors of Kentucky Employers Mutual Insurance Company, the Personnel Board for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Board of Trustees for Taylor Regional Hospital and the Board of Trustees of the Taylor County Public Library. John has also served as a Special Justice on the Kentucky Supreme Court.
City Clerk – Cary Noe
Cary Noe has been City Clerk of Campbellsville since January 2003.
The position of City Clerk is an appointed position by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. KRS 83A.085 outlines the following duties and responsibilities of the city clerk:
- Maintenance and safe-keeping of permanent city records.
- Performance of duties required of “official custodian” or “custodian” pursuant to KRS 61.870-61.884 (Open Records Act).
- Possesion of the Seal of the City.
The office of the City Clerk is also responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, collection of taxes, payroll, and human resource issues.
