Mayor Tony Young was first elected Mayor of Campbellsville on November 2, 2010. He took office on January 1, 2011 becoming the 17th Mayor of Campbellsville.Mayor Young was previously elected to Campbellsville Independent School Board of Education in 1982. He served as chairman and vice-chairman for eight of the eighteen years on the board.Mayor Young attended Campbellsville and Taylor County Schools and graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1973. He received an Associate in Arts degree in Business Management from Lindsey Wilson College in 1985. He went back to school and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Office Management from Campbellsville University in 1998. Mayor Young later earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Campbellsville University in 2004.Mayor Young has over twenty-five years of successful personnel and manufacturing management experience, including contract production manufacturing in international operations. Married to Tonya Young, who is on the Board of Directors for the local Habitat for Humanity, they have two sons.
